Recommended DEMIKS Configuration
INTELLIGENT
DEMIKS HVDC Intelligent — 400–600 kV, 5 mA
- AI grounding monitoring module — blocks voltage rise on unreliable ground
- Remote control over fibre-optic link
- Automatic fault-type recording for post-test analysis
- Unattended testing capability
- Touchscreen HMI + remote dashboard
- Excel / CSV data export
Alternate consideration: Basic configuration would save ~15 % capex but lacks the AI grounding monitor and fibre-optic remote control. For substation field work without a dedicated test operator the Basic configuration is not recommended.
Intelligent configuration adds the AI grounding monitor and remote-control features that on-site, research and unattended testing demand. The Basic configuration would force the operator to stay at the console — not the right ergonomics for field work or long research runs.
Selection rules applied: Voltage matching (generator output ≥ 1.2 × test voltage); Current matching (rated ≥ 1.5 × estimated leakage); Function matching (Basic / Intelligent / Custom based on use case).
